Crested Butte, CO is located at 8,885 feet elevation. Racers are encouraged to arrive the day before the race to acclimate. There will be a two-day vendor expo coinciding with the racer check in and gear check at Mountaineer Square. Racers will have the opportunity to demo items, check out new gear and get discounted products during the vendor expo. Most racers chose to stay over Saturday night in Aspen for the awards party.

Car pooling to Crested Butte is encouraged. Check out the forum on this site (under the Athletes tab) for others looking to carpool. Race Day Luggage Transport:
Included in the registration fee is transportation for one duffel bag (per racer) of personal gear from Crested Butte to Aspen. These bags will be collected at the final check-in at the Crested Butte Community School. Water- proof bags are recommended! Racer’s bags will be available for pick up at the finish line in Aspen.
Any bags not picked up in Aspen will be returned to Crested Butte on Sunday afternoon. Racers who do not make the cut-off time at Star Pass and are returned to Crested Butte should plan to pick up their bag at the Crested Butte Nordic Center on Sunday afternoon.
