In addition to the race, a variety of pre and post-race events are planned.
Racers must attend the Racer Check-In and Gear Check on either Thursday or Friday (first come, first served), the Mandatory Racer Meeting on Friday, March 29 at 1:00 PM, and the Final Check-In/Beacon and Spot Check on Friday, March 29 at 10:30 PM at Mountaineer Square. Additionally, there are many optional events for racers and guests over the two days.

5:00 – 8:30 PM Nachtspektakel
Join other racers and sponsors at the Elevation Hotel outdoor fire pit to skin up to the Ten Peaks restaurant for a dinner at sunset. Located at the top of Painter Boy lift, Ten Peaks has a stunning view of the valley. Dress warm to sit outside at the firepit and enjoy chili, cornbread, salad, dessert and a choice of beer, wine, or soda for just $30 person. 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM – Ortovox Beacon Park. Come test your beacon skills at the base area.
4:30 PM to 6:00 PM – Dynafit “Skin with the Pros”. Want some tips from pro randonee racers and past Grand Traverse winners? Come out and “Skin with the Pros”. Sponsored by Dynafit. Meet at the base of Red Lady Lift. Up-hill pass required, free at CBMR ticket office.
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM Adventure Film Festival. Join racers and their guests for an evening of adventure films. Price is $5 for all non-racers.

8:00 PM FREE concert put on by Town of Aspen – DJ Naka G opening for Grouplove
